Sorry my Aunt Uma Williams was born on OI in 1911, not 13. She was the first European girl born on OI and another one of the Williams clan - Jonah had the first boy born on OI at the end of 1910. Our family name for this period is WILLIAMS with my grandmother marrying Tom O'Sullivan in 1922. They were married by Father Pujabet who was a very close family friend and later murdered by the Japanese.

Hi Guy the young girl standing at the back on the right hand side is probably my grandmother - Hazel she would have been 13 when this photo was taken. Most of the European children had to leave the island at 8 to go to boarding school back in Australia. Both my grandmother and her younger sister - Uma born in 1913 on O.I. ended growing up on OI and Hazel ended up getting married there in 1922. My great grandparents - Ella and John Williams should also be in this photo but not sure if I can see them. Uma would have been about 18months - 2 years old at the time of this photo.
I have found a copy of Frank Werner's BPC Staff Card here in our file. Not sure if you have seen it. Frank would also appear in our family photos as well. These photos above I have not seen before but the dates on these match with Frank's BPC staff records. Will upload the staff card for you following. Regards Stacey
