If one had been to Banaba during BPC mining days, one would admire such piece of work created only for Europeans and those falling in the wage scale termed as "Staff". I happened to visit this pool only once through the invitation of Mr Lameko Iosefo and it was strictly out of bounds only if ur are a guest to some staff then you are eligible to enter the domain. Well it was quite disheartening to see the major racial discrimination that existed then. This is the same for the means of transport used on the island
