Very true Tavale. Our immediate concern is for the students and old folks on Rabi who need daily transportation and for emergency purposes. I think this mode of transport really suits the road on Rabi. As for Trutia u r most welcome to use the latest of the market range and cruise to usp or fnu for holiday.

...40 yrs is not bad...considering that the Samoans, who are still using these buses today, are probably more than 40 yrs more advance than us Banabans. We tried to be more than 40 yrs advance and we got the blue and red mercedes buses from NZ running on our rough road on Rabi...in a very short time they became scrap-metal. Then, we went a little back in time...maybe 20 yrs...and we got another bus which has just been taken off our Rabi road by the LTA for some very critical problems...so 40 yrs my friend is not bad at all...we need to learn to be humble in order to grow and advance faster...

I second Beia's idea of using this type of bus on Rabi. It's just the usual 7 ton sugarcane truck used in Fiji but converted to a passenger bus. And besides if its the common Toyota brand by the looks then theres alot of spare parts in Savusavu and Labasa. Maybe food for thought for ED and Councillors. Thanks for the pictures Tavale.
