Ti marurung raoi mai ikai ao ti bon kakaitibo naba ma Nei Tiantaake.
I happened to find the name "Kanimea" in this Banaban website, and i knew straight away it's the name of my grandfather's youngest brother.
I heard much about you and most of your family members there in Fiji. Well, I've met some of them many years ago but since then I never went abroad when I decided to stay and work in Kiribati.
A couple of years ago we had Uncle Patrick with us in Tarawa. Although he was very ill, I hope he had a good time with most of the family in Tarawa. Then, just a few days before he flew back to Fiji, he just realised that my wife is also closely related to him by Monika's side.
ACCIDENTALLY again, we met him here in Auckland and we also had time to take him to see some relatives from Abaiang who live here. He worked on the boat as some of the Fijian maritime students told me Pat is on board. I never heard from him since then.
Hey Father, I talk too much.
Just give your parents and the rest "te kamauri" and everyone out here wish you all the best... and your mum is right....easy on smoking and drinking.
All the best to you,
Ioteba Atanimakin
