The problem is that we have not heard any Banaban language being spoken nor have we seen any written Banaban. I have heard from my late father(who is from Onotoa) that there is(or was, depending on how you see it) a Banaban language and he heard of this from his elders back in Onotoa. As far as the library in Kiribati is concerned, there will be no data on Banabans because they see us as I-Kiribati and there are other sensitive issues concerning Banabans and I-Kiribati.
