wooowwww, Mone, the wed. was awesome, u kwn Mamira, she`s got a high standard and a classy taste, her wed. car was a limosine, her wed. bouquet was a fresh frangipani with dashes of ferns here n there etc...etc, very simple but thats how she want it {she tells her family what she wants from her wed. dress to her veil etc...etc}, 5 glittering bridesmaids in a florecent orange ( which is her theme-color) and 1 cute flower-girl, while the gromme also has 5 best-men in the matching shiny orange. The people were in multitudes, and there was a lot of food but also a lot of people at the trade-winds (nice, big place with silk gold material { matching the theme-color-very simple but elegant-} ranning up n down, front n the back n all over the place. the deco. was done by the trade-winds staff. the cost for hiring the place is close to $3000 for a nite.
O.k, back at Mamira`s side in Nabua, the 3 flats are all fully occupied- imagine all the rooms and the sitting-room are tight with people- than there is a very big 'vakatunoloa' where those who can`t fit in the houses can camp there. mind you...the camping started 2wks b4 the wed. n than 1wk after the wed.
this by Mamira`s families Makin`s side n Karoro`s side who are out-numbered by Nei Maketara`s family ( boy.....such a big family Nei Maketara`s family ). So u get the pic. of the scenario. tiring, frusrating but fun. theres about 3 groups on the cooking roaster n each grp. consists of about 30-40 people. close to 2 bags of rice is eaten in one day. I `m not exceturating but its the fact, it was one heaven of a wedding.
And than the climax of the occasion, when the "kabiribiri" came from the boy`s side at mid-nite monday, the "kautabos" stayed until 11:30am. and the dancing was swinging with the stereo and tears were flowing (emotional) u kwn Mamira brought pride to her family, n everything that was given...money n energy...was worth it.Family members flew in from NZ [Mamira`s], Australia[Christer`s] and alot came from Rabi.... this including the boy`s side.
Mamira & the husband came back on wednesday accompanied by about 50-60 people and the dance went on til day-light.e baranako te boo on friday.
Thats just a brief discription of Mamira`s wed. there is a DVD of the wedding.Ask someone to send u a copy.
And us we about to go back to Rabi now. o.k so...so...long.
Hear from me later. my delicate fingers are tired.

Love and Regards
