So how are the folks? (Lise and Mark) Hope you've had a wnoderful Christmas season and emawir omo eaw eat eobweni 2009. Tia boo moa!
I think at present you and I will link through our Kosraean ancestry. I will try to link me up from here and see if you can connect our ancestry from there. here we go.
My great grand father (4gerations back) is a Rotuman who travelled to Kosrae and married the great grand daughter of Auane Likiak, and thier son is called Kenmiswan. Kenmiswan a.k.a. Kalifaken's first wife was Sepeaue Sigrah who was King Paliknoa John Sigrah's sister. Kenmiswan carried the tittle Sigrah since then. When Sepeaue died Kenmiswan Sigrah married a second wife Boa of Banaba (Ocean Island). They had a son Morrison a.k.a. Ueanimaraki Sigrah who married Karabinoata of Butaritari (Kiribati)and thier children are Kaiekieki, Tawata,Itinteang and Tororo who was my father (all the brothers had passed away god bless their souls). I have 2brothers and 2 sisters our elders sister was Ateri (passed away) who married Clinton Benjamin (passed away) of Nauru and you will know their children (my nieces and nephews) who are all living on Nauru Elsana being thier eldest daughter. There you go Russ I hope I've put some light from this side for you. That family tree was given to my father Tororo when he attended the Kosrae indepedent in the1970s by his uncle Siro sigrah (passed away) whom he stayed with while at Kosrae. We are still intouch with uncle John Sigrah ( ministry of Communication and Telegraph) on Kosrae.Well my friend I think better penoff here . I gotta go to work. Tia boo moa.
It is good to see you join our news group. Your sir name (Kun) is very familiar as my real name is Kun a.k.a. Ken as from Kosrae. Do you think there is a connection between us? Will be good to hear from you. Happy New Year.
Merry Xmas & Happy New Year from all your families here on Rabi
