Students access first library centre

FOLLOWING the celebration of National Library Week in the Buca Bay area, the students, including those on the islands of Rabi and Kioa, now have access to a library centre. Use knowledge to farm Rabi: Minister

EDUCATED youths without employment must invest in natural resources available in their villages instead of relying on the Government to provide them with jobs.

Minister for Women and Poverty Alleviation Dr Jiko Luveni made this comment during her visit to Rabi last week.

Banaban women prepare for school Rabi Island

Variety Club of Queensland Sponsor 6 Banaban Primary Students on Rabi

8 Jan 2010 From Biara Touakin Rabi, Fiji

Six class eight students from Banaban Primary School have secured sponsorship from VarietyClub Queensland for 2010. Gaelle from Variety Club Qld said that the funds have been transfered to Mr Kateta Teai (Banaban Primary Head Teacher) who will administer and issue the funds to the children's parents/guardian. Each student will receive AUD$500.00 to cater for his/her school in 2010.

Please Help with the Banaban Child Welfare Project for 2010

During my visit to Rabi with Niki Taxidis last October 09, we met up with a remarkable young Banaban woman - Radhika Teaoka, who is now working for the Rabi Council of Leaders in the Social Welfare Department. Radhika has launched a project to assist improverished Banaban children on Rabi to be able to attend school.
