THE Copra Millers of Fiji Limited (CMFL) and government have put in place strategies to sustain copra production in the country.

Fiji’s interim regime is hoping to revamp the country’s coconut industry through a series of measures aimed at boosting growth.
Speaking at the 49th Asia Pacific Coconut Community conference being held in Nadi this week, the interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, said the industry needed to be supported with modern technology.

Another five months is needed before the coconut industry is expected to stabilise.
