Rabi Women Want Better Medical Facilities

Women on Rabi Island suffer similar fate as those on other maritime islands when it is time to give birth – they have to leave their homes and travel to hospitals on the mainland. Rabi women, who made their submissions to the Constitution Commission at the weekend, said they needed to have $100 to travel to  Savusavu Hospital to seek medical help.

Students access first library centre

Rabi Island to get own ice plant

An ice plant will be erected on the island of Rabi and should be ready by next year.



Ministry of Fisheries and Forests permanent secretary Inoke Wainiqolo told FijiLive the new ice plant in Rabi is to assist fishermen maintain the freshness of their fish before selling it to the market.
