Banabans on Rabi fearing Predicitons of Natural Disaster move to high ground today

Word from Rabi is that everything has been postponed today in the wake of predictions by a Church Minister that natural disasters will befall Fiji today. Over the past weeks Banabans have been preparing emergency shelters on high ground and will spend the day in these camps in case predictions come true.

Even funerals and other major events on the island have been postponed. Let's hope the predictions do not eventuate. On the other hand having been on Rabi last October during a Tsunami warning the community take these alarms very seriously and always good to be prepared. So if the predictions do not come to pass it will be a very positive exercise in emergency preparedness, which is a very worthwhile for the whole community.
