****BREAKING NEWS - FIJI GOVT EMERGENCY AID NOW ARRIVING ON RABI TONIGHT***

7.15pm Fiji Time 24 March 2010 from Biniati and Ken Sigrah Rabi Island Fiji
Fiji Govt aid has just arrived at Karoko now and they are currently using 7-8 island boats to ferry the supplies across to Rabi tonight. This is the 2 week emergency rations promised by the PM's office.
They are setting up central distribution staging area out of Nuku for distribution tomorrow to all villages.
Ken is filming everything and what can I say – the excitement in the boys voices was enough via the satellite phone hook up. Image how people are feeling through out the villages tonight knowing that more food has arrived and the morale boost knowing that they have not been forgotten.
A big thank you to the Fiji government, Red Cross and other associated aid organizations and the quick action of our Rabi Council of Leaders to coordinate this important step in what will surely be a very long recovery process.
