Climate change on the Pacific island of Kiribati

The build-up to the UN climate change talks in Copenhagen is already underway. For growing numbers, the talks are vital because they are already being hit by climate change. One of those is Maria Tiimon who grew up on the Pacific island Kiribati and who will be in Copenhagen in December adding her plea to the political leaders for action. The island hasn't had rain for three years, trees are dying and wells drying up and the island is threatened by rising sea levels. Here she tells her story
