Fiji authorities are urging people to be careful when consuming fish following an increase in the number of people being poisoned after eating fish.

Just last week, a 21-year-old woman died of suspected fish poisoning in Lau. The Fisheries Department is urging people to put their catch on ice as soon as possible, to be careful of the sort of fish they catch and also to take care and ensure they have bought fresh fish.
