An experienced journalist or communications expert is required to raise the profile of environmental issues and campaigns for a coalition of leading not‐for‐profit conservation organisations: Environment Victoria, Friends of the Earth, the Wilderness Society and the Victorian National Parks Association.
As the state’s leading environment groups, we work on the most urgent environmental issues including climate change, water and river health, protecting our forests and biodiversity, and helping people live sustainably.
Our organisations generate and respond to thousands of media stories each year, and we need your help to coordinate our media activities.
This position is shared between the four leading environment groups and your work will be guided by a steering committee made u of a senior representative from each group. You would be employed by Environment Victoria (on behalf of the four groups) and report to its CEO. You would be based in Environment Victoria’s office in the award‐winning 60L Green Building in Carlton, Victoria.
This is a full‐time, fixed‐term contract of 12 months. Remuneration is at EV4 level with a starting salary of $55,000 to $63,000 plus superannuation and leave benefits.
