RE: Invitation to the TC Tomas Relief Appeal – Rabi Island

The Rabi Council of Leaders wishes to invite you to the relief appeal in aid of the Rabi islanders who were recently devastated by TC Tomas.

The event will be held on the 10^th of April, 2010 at the Civic Centre Lower Auditorium and will commence at 2pm until 9pm. The program will be semi-formal and a family event.

The aim of this event is to raise funds for those Rabi-island residents affected by TC Tomas and to foster unity amongst our people during this trying period.

Entertainment will be provided by the Banaban Community in Suva performing traditional and contemporary dance items with a special appearance by the musically talented group “Tangaroa” throughout the evening.

All proceeds raised during this event will be directed towards the Rabi Council Relief Fund and will be used to complement Government assistance in terms of purchasing food rations, seedlings and planting materials for affected Rabi-islanders.
