Portable radio station to be tested in the Pacific
ABC Radio Australia - Pacific Beat Updated
It's the size of suitcase and costs just a few thousand dollars, but the designers of a new portable radio station believe it could one day be a priceless tool in helping in the aftermath of a natural disaster.
The UNESCO-commissioned, Radio In A Box is a portable system that will be tested in the Pacific later this year where radio remains the key method of mass communication.
