*This email was sent out by Arara and refers to Banaban men fishing just off Nuku when suddenly people noticed their tewas (canoes) sitting on the reef as all the water receded. Then all the water came back up again and went over the top of Nuku jetty. This is as high as the water came but can image the shock the fishermen experienced as they found their boats sitting on a dry reef with no water around them. As we know Nuku and the villages are all on the leeside of the island so can imagine that the ocean side was affected much harder. Thankfully everyone is safe and well. I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone when I am on Rabi next week and here more news... Stacey
