Variety Club of Queensland Sponsor 6 Banaban Primary Students on Rabi

Six class eight students from Banaban Primary School have secured sponsorship from VarietyClub Queensland for 2010. Gaelle from Variety Club Qld said that the funds have been transfered to Mr Kateta Teai (Banaban Primary Head Teacher) who will administer and issue the funds to the children's parents/guardian. Each student will receive AUD$500.00 to cater for his/her school in 2010.

The six are:
Solomon Ngarengare, Bateteba Teitinang, Mereta Kibanako Lanyon, Bakaua
Nonouri, Benjamin Biara & Eriteba Nakareba.

Gaelle said if the students perform well in 2010 they might get a chance of being
sponsored again in 2011 and so on.

This happened when members of Variety Australia visited Rabi Island on
Blue Lagoon Cruises and were entertained by the students of Banaban Primary School
