Then you are in the same country as Aunt Teresia...she's on Mornington Island off North Australia where Uncle Eri is Medical Superintendent while my Uncle Teahu has long left this world....may he rest in peace. So my 'double' uncle...nice to have met you....although technically...thru this medium.
Definitely...Cherry is my mum....I know that I resemble her looks...so you were right. This site is a wonderful opportunity for us Banabans to network. And thanks to you & Stacey for providing that opportunity.
Mauri Ken, I'm back. everything went well with the papa's funeral. He's buried among freinds at Naivikinikini village in Lami - miles away from where he was born on Banaba island... what a life my old man had...am very proud of him. will have pics added with a little story soon/ catch up soon. moce mada

Note my pic is sideways - caused by the strong wind of lobbying, disillushionment and discontent blowing in my ear all week in Rabi - or was it the joyful singing, happy laughter, competitive team urging, ambitious plans and Vanua Levu breezes that turned my head.

Mauri ao koraba naba n am comments. Hope you enjoy the pix, by the way - is there a limit on how many photos I upload?! So much to share, u know. Anyway, I found my roots now so you'll be seeing more of me here :-) Thanx for building this site!
Thanks Ken, Phillip did tell me names and some of the history of the islands and I did get them mixed up. I look forward to reading more about the history and the going on. Phil and Terri were planning a visit today that looks as it has been postponed by my other brother Scott. I plan to upload a few pictures of christmas and a short video of my family soon. Meanwhile the lawns need to be done, the kids want to play and there are a thousand chores to be done. Talk soon Paul
