Thanks for the welcome to your new site. Rest assured Ruth and I will continue to raise the awareness of the Banaban, people particularly on Rabi Island whom the people there Ruth and I have such fond memories of. Do you remember interpreting for me one Friday evening at the church camp ? back in 1986 ?
This is a great new site for keeping in contact, I will eventually copy our blog site to this one. Thanks again and have a happy new year love John and Ruth

Having read your message again, I see that the videos have got as far as Rabi, rather than to Banaba. That's great too!

Thanks for the welcome Ken. And thanks too for letting me know that the Banaban dubbed copies of the programme got to Banaba. I always knew they would but didn't know when. It's really gratifying to think of them being there. I guess the Homecoming Visit must seem like a very long time ago to the people on Banaba. It certainly seems a long time ago to me! But the memories are fresh.
All the very best wishes to you and yours.

These are Ken's photos from this weeks Woodford Festival here in Australia. Over 120,000 will attend this festival over 6 days between 27Dec to Jan 1. The whole place becomes a tent city with more than 80,000 people camping there. Some great cultural performances. Ken is going to upload some music clips today; Aboriginal, African and this new age performer called THE 1 GUY! Really wierd music and instrument but great sounds and beat! The younger kids go wild when he performes.
Mauri Ken & Stancey,
Thanks a million for creating a website for Banaban Voice. Surely it has restored a communication link with others and their families in expressing their views and concerns. No doubt that this will attract the interest of many to join as members.
Have a wonderful and enyoyable year 2009.

The group looks amazing! I'm looking forward to reading all about what the Banaban's are up to.
Hope you and Stacey had a great Xmas. I sent an email to Stacey a week or so ago but I'm guessing she's been busy.

Indeed, we left Geelong for NZ two years ago. As usual, it's the job that's brought us out here to the land of the long white cloud.
Happy belated Christmas to you and your family and may GOD bless us all in our endeavours.
