I know it's hard to solve the differences between the karieta clan but as to us the new generation we need a new beginning to strengthen our identity to the world. This dispute will never be solved and will always weaken the BANABAN CULTURE so i hope we should put it into practice before our elders are all gone we will be left with TE KARANGA as our major part of our identity........

You are right, I could remember back in the early 90s that it was once played and something went wrong......and it was never played again if I am correct????.

If this is part of our culture then it should be revived for the save of identity. This is a new era and this generation should be taught the art and value of the game or be gone like the language for instance.

Critical so to speak of the older generation but, for us now we are already losing the values of our ancestry clans. All we know today is I am from Banaba and from so and so village.......and that is it. Even Banaba today is ruined, how could you tell your land boundary amid the rugged terrains of the protruding rocks????

It would be nice to see it played during the 15th December celebration for sake of culture and fun, just like playing rugby and net ball, etc.... it will do no harm instead, it will create a more sense of belonging and extra game come the 15th.

The 15th games committee can look into this and start of with a demonstration and in 2013 celebration, we play it amongst the villages, what's say?????
