Banaban Voice

News and information service for Banaban Network Worldwide!

I have forwarded these plans to headmen of the Rabi Council and they seemed pleased to receive them but, I have not been able to solicit a response from them since sending the plans.

So, in a hope to help the Banabans I will herein publish these plans for anyone to see.

These desal machines are very simple and convert sunlight into clean, drinkable water without electricity.

Why would you not want disease free water to drink?? Won't someone help themselves to this free technology?

What about: "A wind turbine that produces drinking water" www.eolewater.com ? Smart idea.
the attempt is to find the simplest common technology. the solar powered desal plant has no moving parts and requires only the reduction of salt build up. when technology is introduced there is seldom consideration for support in what is a very limiting environment. the pacific is full of good intended projects that set idle after some minor failure of some minor system is not fully understood by untrained locals.
the Mid-Tech approach involves the use of local materials whenever possible, minimal off site support requirements and maintainance levels that are understood when the locals actually build the mechanisim.
i have some experience of wind power for several applications and the area will lend itself readily to such technology when infrastructure is improved, communication and transportation. there is plenty of wind!
Thanks for the input; we must think together to solve our common goals. persue presion vision.
