RABI NEWS UPDATE - 30th August

New Generator for Nuku.

The long awaited generator for Nuku sector has eventually arrived.It arrived on Rabi aboard the barge and was offloaded at the Nuku jetty,and later was carried to the powerhouse prepared for it.

The generator will power the whole of Nuku Village from the Rabi Council building right through to the Muslim Mosque and the Rabi Health Center.

This was made possible through the Rural Electrification Scheme undertaken by the Fiji Government through… Continue

1.Rabi high School vs Nuisawa high school sports tournament.

Rabi high school hosted this tournament which included sports such as rugby& netball.and was held at the sports ground at Nuku.The chief Guest was Mr.Kateta Teai who officially opened this tournament,other guests included the Principal of Niusawa High School,the Rabi high School Principal,and other guests,It was sad to see our school netball teams thrashed by the visiting school,however the RHS rugby teams pushed their way in… Continue

Sunken Tongan ferry may become ocean grave

Orion finds missing Kiribati boat

Joy as Somali pirates free Pacific islanders
