Mauri Ertai,
yes, i will be honest with you by saying that I have nothing against Butau at all. Butau will always be a cousin to me and nobody can change that. It is always my belief that we cannot mix family ties with personal issues such as 'politic'. Butau and I can have different views and debate our minds away in the name of politics but will never happen when we get togather for family sake. My reason is simple "family' is our culture 'politic' is not our culture. To me culture is most important as it is my Identity and so as Butau's. we might criticise each other with our 'political hats' (being cousins too) on all day but at the end of that day we can still sit down and share a bowl of kava and laugh about the days events, and that is really Banaban way of brotherhood. What I say here always happen back at home with politics even when I was there then. You will prove it when this election is over and the Councils are being elected the political attitude will be over and the family bond will be back again.
Thanks for writing back and remember any discussions you want a hand with write to me or Stacey.
Mauri Eritai,
The continuation or conclusion to your topic is up to you and how you want to go about it but at the same time it is good to come up with ideas that we can all share especially when we now know who Eritai is and that is appriciated.
Yes, inregard to our family ties it goes back to the Temaranikaomoti clan within the district of Buakonikai. Our family tree in this geneaology alone will take quite a space.
To cut a long story short all I can tell you is that from your Grt- Grnd father's side ( 9generations back) Toanuea is a brother to my Grt-Grndfather Tokaibure. So your great grandfather (Rotan) will be a cousin to my grandfather ( Na Bure). Your grandma (Beta) will be a cousin to my mum (Mere). So your (late) Dad and I are cousins and the rest is history.
I hope that this short explanation will help clarify more of our family conections especially when we are all scattered all over the face of Mother Earth.
Let me know what you think and keep in touch .
Teke raoi ao tia boo moa.

Ai ngke Mauri moa!!Ko ataia,I wasn't intentionally trying to introduce you publically. What really happen is some misunderstanding thinking that I have sent an invitation to this site to a wrong person or invite the wrong Eritai.SO I was trying to tell Ken in the past that the Eritai I only know was Eritai the Son of Temaaka and TIbeaua not TOm and Nicole. Again I am sorry if I have hurt your feelings thinking that I introduce you without your permission. Why should I do that?
