Works on Kadavu and Rabi Jetty to begin soon

FiJi Broadcasting Corp - Thursday, July 30, 2009

The Ministry Of Works And Public Utilities will be begin construction on the Kadavu Jetty next week. Works spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete would like to assure the people of Kadavu that works on this particular jetty will commence next week and they are hoping that the work will proceed as planned. Waqainabete says that if they are unable to complete it at the end of this year then they would definitely complete it by the first quarter of next year. Likewise for the people of Rabi, Waqainabete says that the tender process is now being concluded and they are hoping to award the tender by next week. Work is also expected to begin next month that should see a new jetty being constructed for the people of Rabi.
