Stacey its hi from me after desperately trying to put ends together. Anyway it was nice seeing Ken and Peter here on Rabi and I would like to congratulate them for their task well done. Ken is temporary losing his voice, maybe after effects of never ending talk. Stacey I apologise for the delay in replying to school stats that u requested,anyway here are some details- Buakonikai School needs: Childrens easy books,easy reading and illustration, Non fiction for junior/senior and fiction for junior/senior. Books on hand is 3,000 only ,school roll is 150. For Tabiang Primary: (120 pupils)books on hand is only 800,need suitable Primary level easy reading books with pictures and etc. Fiction and Non fiction for junior/senior levels. Banaban School:(320 pupils) books on hand is 10,000 need children books -easy reading,pictures & illustrations. Fiction & Non fiction for junior/senior levels. Rabi High: (250 pupils)books on hand- 10,000 need- Agriculture reference books, Economic/Accounting reference books, Industrial Arts reference books and fiction/non fiction book. Community Library: books on hand- 13,000 need more fiction/non fiction books,easy books for children, dictionary for reference, more books about Banaba, magazines, crocheting and applique, Library and information manual etc.
Population on Rabi now is 2457. Hope this will be useful to you and those concerned. Bye for now

It seems to be a smooth journey with this new council members but we will pray to God for having changes with our new members and wishing them luck for their 4 years of challenge but not we do not discriminate the other five members but we appreciate their past administering the Banabans......cheers for them and we hope that they will work together as a team to achieve the betterment of our beloved Banaba and the the clan...

mauri again stacy and thank you for the reply.i know who rabaua is now coz we were all in the same school(rabi high school).so terimoas getting married to an australian oh she was really naughty in her younger days hehehe.my brother sam used to date her long time back and he got the smack from my grandma coz we were kind of related somehow hehe.yes ken has sent me a message and hopefully we'll up in gold coast.the weather here is horrible coz its forever changing.

Stacey, the airfare to Tarawa from Nadi is $1,000 plus I cannot give a fixed figure but I know that it stands around that amount.

Mauri Stacey! Yea I did not include this in the latest Rabi news. However,the child is a class one student who went playing out on at sea on Sunday 26/04/09. He caught a fish and played around with it by placing it directly towards his mouth. The fish ended up jumping into his mouth and got jammed. He then suffocated and died despite attempts to remove the fish by his parents. He was taken to health centre but died on arrival. The child is the son of Buren Amota and Baka Teraka.
